Identify a concern
A review may begin because of campaign content, account activity, transaction signals, or a user report.
GiverImpact works to make fundraising safer for organizers, donors, and beneficiaries through campaign review, identity verification, fraud prevention, secure reporting, and careful withdrawal review.
We are committed to maintaining a transparent and responsible crowdfunding environment. We review concerns, may request supporting information, and may restrict activity when needed to protect users, payment partners, and the integrity of the platform. No safety system can eliminate every risk, so we also encourage donors to read campaign information carefully and report anything that appears misleading or suspicious.
Reviews may take place before or after a campaign is published, after a report is received, or before funds are released.
A review may begin because of campaign content, account activity, transaction signals, or a user report.
Our team may examine the campaign, account history, payment activity, and available supporting evidence.
The organizer may be asked for identity documents, proof of need, authorization, or payout ownership.
We may approve activity, request changes, delay a payout, restrict an account, remove content, or close a review.
Campaigns may be reviewed at any stage. Review does not mean that GiverImpact guarantees a campaign, organizer, beneficiary, or outcome. Organizers remain responsible for providing accurate, lawful, and up-to-date information.
GiverImpact may request identity verification when required for account safety, compliance, campaign review, or withdrawals. A withdrawal will not be approved until any required verification has been completed successfully.
We use a combination of platform controls, account and transaction review, user reports, supporting evidence, and information from payment providers to identify suspicious activity.
If you believe a campaign is misleading, fraudulent, unsafe, unlawful, or violating platform rules, use the Report Campaign option on that campaign's page. Reports are sent for administrative review and may include supporting evidence.
Withdrawal requests are subject to review and are not released automatically. The applicable platform fee and estimated net amount are shown during the withdrawal process before submission.
Contributions are generally final. A contributor may submit a voluntary refund request within five days after completing a contribution. Submitting a request does not guarantee approval.
For a campaign-specific concern, use the report option on the campaign page whenever possible. For account, payment, withdrawal, identity-verification, or other safety concerns, contact our team through the GiverImpact contact page.
Send us the relevant details and evidence. We will review your concern and may contact you if additional information is needed.
GiverImpact is not an emergency service. If someone is in immediate danger or you believe a crime is actively occurring, contact the appropriate local emergency service or law-enforcement authority.
