Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using GiverImpact. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by the terms described below.
These Terms govern your access to and use of GiverImpact, including user accounts, campaigns, contributions, platform tips, fees, withdrawals, refunds, and other services available through the platform.
GiverImpact is operated by INTERVT LTD, a company registered in England and Wales.
By accessing, browsing, registering, creating a campaign, making a contribution, or otherwise using GiverImpact, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not access or use the platform or its services.
GiverImpact is an independent commercial fundraising platform. We provide technology that enables individuals, groups, organizations, and communities to create fundraising campaigns and receive voluntary financial support.
GiverImpact is also not a bank, financial institution, investment service, insurance provider, legal adviser, financial adviser, or broker.
The platform provides a connection between campaign organizers and contributors. Unless expressly stated otherwise, GiverImpact does not organize, manage, endorse, or guarantee individual campaigns.
To create an account or use services requiring registration, you must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding agreement.
If applicable law permits a minor to use the platform, the account and campaign must be created and managed by a parent or legal guardian who accepts responsibility for its use.
You agree to provide accurate, complete, current, and truthful information. You are responsible for protecting your login credentials and for activity conducted through your account.
You may not impersonate another person, create an account using false information, sell or transfer an account without authorization, or use another person’s account without permission.
Campaign organizers are solely responsible for the accuracy, authenticity, legality, and completeness of their campaigns and all information, images, videos, updates, statements, claims, and promises they publish.
Organizers must clearly explain the campaign purpose, the intended beneficiary, and how the collected funds are expected to be used. Campaign content must not be false, misleading, deceptive, incomplete, or unlawfully copied.
Organizers are responsible for using the funds consistently with the stated campaign purpose and for communicating material changes to contributors.
Organizers must have all necessary rights, permissions, and authorizations to publish information about beneficiaries and to collect funds on their behalf.
GiverImpact may review, request evidence for, restrict, suspend, reject, or remove a campaign that violates these Terms, our policies, payment-provider requirements, or applicable law.
Financial contributions made through GiverImpact are voluntary. Contributors are responsible for reviewing the available campaign information before completing a transaction.
Making a contribution does not create an ownership interest, investment, loan, employment relationship, or entitlement to profit unless expressly permitted and stated under a separate lawful arrangement.
Payments may be processed by independent payment providers, banks, card networks, or other financial institutions. Their terms, verification procedures, privacy policies, processing times, limits, and dispute rules may also apply.
GiverImpact does not guarantee that a campaign will reach its goal, that its organizer will use the funds as described, or that a particular result will be achieved.
Transactions may be declined, delayed, reversed, or placed under review when required by a payment provider, bank, card network, legal obligation, security procedure, or fraud-prevention measure.
GiverImpact operates as a commercial platform and charges campaign organizers a platform fee. The applicable fee may range from 5% to 30% of the relevant collected or withdrawn amount.
The applicable percentage may vary depending on payment processing costs, transfer costs, withdrawal method, currency conversion, transaction risk, location, payment-provider requirements, and other costs associated with processing or delivering funds.
The platform fee and any applicable third-party costs may be deducted before the remaining balance is made available or transferred to the campaign organizer.
Additional charges may be imposed independently by banks, payment processors, card networks, PayPal, currency-conversion providers, or other third parties. GiverImpact does not control charges imposed directly by those providers.
Contributors may be offered the option to leave a voluntary tip for GiverImpact in addition to their campaign contribution.
Tips support the operation, maintenance, security, customer support, and continued development of the platform. A tip is separate from the amount intended for the campaign organizer.
Leaving a tip is optional. When the payment page allows it, contributors should review or adjust the tip amount before confirming payment.
Eligible campaign organizers may request withdrawal of available funds through the payout methods currently supported by the platform.
Campaign organizers must successfully complete GiverImpact’s Know Your Customer (KYC) verification process before their first withdrawal and whenever additional verification is reasonably required.
KYC verification may require a valid government-issued identity document, a photograph or selfie, proof of residential address, date of birth, contact information, and evidence showing ownership of the submitted bank account or PayPal account.
For campaigns created on behalf of another person, organization, or beneficiary, GiverImpact may also request proof of authorization, beneficiary information, supporting campaign documents, or business registration documents.
GiverImpact may use independent identity-verification providers to verify submitted information and conduct fraud-prevention, sanctions-screening, anti-money-laundering, and other compliance checks.
A displayed campaign balance does not guarantee immediate availability or payment. Funds may remain subject to processing, verification, reserves, reversals, disputes, refunds, payment provider restrictions, or additional review.
Before processing a withdrawal, GiverImpact may request proof of identity, address, bank or PayPal ownership, campaign purpose, beneficiary authorization, use of funds, or other relevant information.
A withdrawal may be delayed, partially processed, rejected, returned, or suspended if information is incomplete or inaccurate, if the payout details cannot be verified, or if security, compliance, fraud, dispute, or legal concerns exist.
Campaign organizers are responsible for providing correct payout details. Any costs resulting from incorrect information, rejected transfers, currency conversion, or returned payments may be deducted from their balance where permitted.
A contributor who wishes to request a refund must submit the request through the payment provider used for the transaction, such as PayPal, the applicable bank, or card issuer, within five days of completing the contribution.
Refund eligibility depends on the circumstances of the transaction, whether the funds remain available, the status of any withdrawal, and the rules of the applicable payment provider or financial institution.
Submitting a request within five days does not guarantee approval. GiverImpact, the campaign organizer, and the applicable payment provider may review the transaction and available evidence before a decision is made.
When a refund, chargeback, reversal, or dispute is approved after funds have been credited or paid to an organizer, the relevant amount and any associated costs may be deducted from the organizer’s current or future balance.
The five-day platform period does not remove or restrict any mandatory consumer rights or dispute rights independently provided by applicable law, PayPal, a bank, card issuer, or another payment provider.
To protect users and the platform, GiverImpact may review accounts, campaigns, contributions, tips, withdrawals, devices, and transaction activity for suspected fraud, abuse, money laundering, sanctions violations, or other unlawful conduct.
We may request supporting documents or explanations and may share relevant information with payment providers, banks, identity verification services, professional advisers, or competent authorities where permitted or required by law.
Funds or account access may be temporarily restricted while a review is in progress. Failure to provide requested information may result in a campaign or withdrawal being rejected and an account being suspended or terminated.
Users must not attempt to avoid KYC requirements, submit altered or fraudulent documents, use another person’s identity, or provide payout details that they do not own or are not authorized to use.
If KYC verification fails, remains incomplete, or reveals inconsistent or suspicious information, GiverImpact may request additional documents, delay or reject withdrawals, restrict the account, suspend the campaign, or report relevant activity where required by law.
Users must not use GiverImpact for unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, abusive, or harmful purposes.
GiverImpact branding, logos, graphics, design, software, and original platform content are owned by or licensed to GiverImpact and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Users retain ownership of content they upload and remain responsible for ensuring they have the legal right to publish it.
By uploading content, users grant GiverImpact a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, format, and distribute that content as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, improve, and promote the platform and the relevant campaign.
This permission continues for as long as the content is hosted on the platform and for a reasonable period afterward where retention is required for backups, disputes, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or legitimate business records.
Personal information is collected, processed, stored, and shared as described in our Privacy Policy and as necessary to provide the platform, process transactions, prevent fraud, and comply with applicable obligations.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information. However, no online service, database, or electronic transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Read our Privacy PolicyThe platform may contain links to or integrations with payment processors, banks, identity verification services, social networks, or other independent third-party services.
Your use of third-party services may be governed by their own terms, fees, limits, and privacy policies. GiverImpact does not control their availability, security, processing decisions, or actions.
GiverImpact is not responsible for delays, restrictions, fees, account limitations, or losses caused solely by an independent third-party provider, except where responsibility cannot legally be excluded.
The publication or continued availability of a campaign does not mean that GiverImpact has verified, approved, guaranteed, or endorsed every statement made by its organizer.
Any verification performed by GiverImpact is intended to support security and platform integrity and does not guarantee the identity, conduct, reliability, or future actions of a campaign organizer.
Contributors should use their own judgment and request additional information when necessary before making a contribution.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, GiverImpact shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential losses arising from campaigns, user content, contributions, withdrawals, refunds, third-party services, or interactions between users.
GiverImpact is not responsible for a campaign organizer’s acts, omissions, statements, use of funds, failure to provide updates, or failure to fulfill a promise.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limits any mandatory rights available under applicable law.
GiverImpact may restrict, suspend, or terminate an account, campaign, contribution feature, or withdrawal when a user violates these Terms, creates a security or financial risk, fails verification, or may be involved in unlawful or prohibited activity.
We may remove content, prevent new contributions, place funds under review, cancel a pending withdrawal, or require corrective action where reasonably necessary.
Where appropriate, GiverImpact may preserve relevant records and cooperate with payment providers, banks, law enforcement agencies, courts, regulators, or other competent authorities.
GiverImpact may modify, suspend, replace, or discontinue features of the platform where reasonably necessary for business, technical, security, payment-provider, or legal reasons.
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to our services, fees, policies, payment arrangements, legal requirements, or business operations.
Updated Terms will be published on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the platform after an update takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the maximum extent permitted by law.
A failure or delay by GiverImpact to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of that provision or of our right to enforce it later.
Users may not transfer their rights or obligations under these Terms without prior written permission from GiverImpact.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any other policies displayed on the platform, form the agreement governing your use of GiverImpact.
